CSIAMUN 2024: Handling a large number of foreign participants post-covid

Handling foreign participants for the first time post-Covid

CSIAMUN(Cheongshim International Academy Model United Nations), an organization of CSIA students who run CSIAMUN Conference annually, playing various roles such as chair, and press had been limited to the domestic participants until 2024 CSIAMUN conference. This led to challenges in planning and handling foreign participants to provide the best experience in the conference due to the lack of experience working with foreign participants. The event faced significant challenges, being the first to involve international participants since the onset of COVID-19 and marking the largest edition in the history of the conference. The task was to successfully recruit a diverse group of participants while managing the complexities of a large-scale, international event.

Utilizing experience to maximize efficiency and customer experience

IEM Consulting led a strategic promotional campaign through 100 network schools, successfully recruiting 154 students from 6 countries. Additionally, IEM managed a cost-reduction and participant expansion project, resulting in a substantial profit margin of approximately 10 million KRW. The firm also ensured the successful execution of the event by arranging a two-day tour of Seoul, providing interpretation services, and sourcing Halal food for international attendees.

Another step towards CSIAMUN's expansion

With help from IEM’s comprehensive strategy, the event not only expanded its participant base but also achieved significant financial success. The meticulous planning and execution of services tailored to international participants contributed to the smooth and successful operation of the conference, making it a standout edition in the event's history.
